Whatever your reasons for arriving at this site I would advise you to stick your neck out and give it a go! Just bare in mind that if you do sign up to a course be it in your town or online, make sure your tutor is deaf.

There is no point learning from someone who can hear as you will cut corners and ultimately fail in grasping the basics. Most online courses are based at real life language schools who supply you with your personal tutors' who are deaf.

This is the beauty of learning the sign language alphabet on the internet or in a school as you are forced from the very first minute to use your hands.

That American Sign Language is not the universal sign language.

Every nation has its own Sign Language including variations on the countries norm.
